Los Angeles

It was only last year that I used to sit behind a desk working 9 to 5 where I didn’t even contemplate the idea that there were so many amazing places to see outside those 4 walls. It was only after my first venture down the local pub in Deepest Darkest Devon to take part in the legendary ‘Pop Quiz’ hosted by the one and only DJ Corder where I was invited (by the DJ himself) on a trip sample the delights of LA.

That was the turning point in my little sock life. That monday morning I did not turn up to work, but I got on a train to Bristol airport to meet DJ Corder to start my new traveling life.

LA opened my eyes. DJ Corder took me to see Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood sign (albeit from a great distance!). But one of the most memorable trips must have been a trip to Hooters. Well, I didn’t know where to look, especially when one of the waitresses held me upside down!

So this, my friends is where I caught the traveling bug. I yearn to see the world and the amazing place it offers. I will go where people invite me to sample the sights and sounds you have to offer. And a drink at the local wouldn’t be half bad either. If you’d like me to stay with you for a few days please email Kate: kate@madebykate.co.uk
