Barcelona

Well, this English weather is not impressing me one little bit so I jumped at the chance when Oli and Nicki invited me to Barcelona. I packed my bags and swapped my ice scraper for a pair of shades and waved goodbye to the wind and rain.

And do you know what I found in Barcelona? I found some very odd buildings by this bloke called Gaudi. Below you can see La Sagrada Familia and after visiting a few of his other buildings I can conclude he clearly didn’t believe in straight lines for anything. But that is no surprise as he was once quoted as saying “everything comes from the great book of nature”. Tragically, in 1926, Antoni Gaudi was ran over by a tram and died 5 days later in hospital.

From the old to the more modern, next I checked out a very colourful sculpture in the Olympic District.

When my time in Barcelona came to an end I was reluctant to go back to the ever worsening weather back in England but when I heard my bessie mate was back over in LA I caught the first flight out there to complete one task Kate had set me last time I was there......

....to find Michael J Fox’s star. Don’t ask me why, she’s a bit weird like that, but when I landed I was horrified to be greeted with this:

but I did manage to complete my task in the end

And thus ends my travels so far. I wonder where my next adventure will start....
